Electrical Design & Programming Services of a Training Aviation Ground Power Unit

At EMF, we can provide electrical design and programming services that complement our primary mechanical design and fabrication capabilities. This training aviation ground power unit is designed to mimic the controls and responses of the air ground power unit (AGPU) on the U.S. Army’s UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter. The unit is used by the defense industry to train U.S. Army technicians. We fabricated the mechanical components for the unit and programmed the electrical system to customer specifications to simulate the AGPU. Assemblies were subjected to functional and proof load testing for quality assurance. Technical drawings and an operating manual were provided to the customer along with the training unit.

As an engineering-based machining and fabrication company located along Florida’s Space Coast, we specialize in the development and manufacturing of custom, complex components and assemblies. We are AS9100D certified and have extensive experience collaborating with customers in the aerospace, defense, and other advanced manufacturing industries. Full engineering and manufacturing support services are available to take custom projects from concept to completion.
